Sven's parents were looking for a way to publicise a tourist cottage they have on a 20 hectare block in the foothills of the Kaimai Ranges. After considering the options with his parents, Sven decided a website would be the best way forward and developed a detailed brief for the site, describing its content, layout, and style.
In developing the site, Sven was expected to follow the codes of practice and ethics of a professional web designer. He was required to separate the content coding of the site from its style instructions using XHTML and CSS, which he did by following good technological practice.
