A Junior Digital Programme

Teachers Steve Graham and Malcolm Howard were challenged to design a Year 10 Digital course that would introduce students to the philosophy and skills of Technological Practice and at the same time engage and absorb them, nurture their creativity, and encourage them to go on to study technology/Digital at a senior level.

Teacher guidance
  • create progression and a base for the senior level in Digital skills and knowledge;
  • create progression and a base for the senior level in Technological Practice;
  • create "fun" and interesting units that students will enjoy
  • produce high quality creative outcomes;
  • experiment with the two new curriculum strands: Technological Knowledge and The Nature of Technology;
  • structure the teaching of Technological Practice;
  • cater for a range of student abilities.
