COP Outcome development and evaluation

Initially Justine set quality control standards for an acceptable shape, size, texture, and taste, with an appropriate cost. Although she felt she was a good judge of what would be acceptable and what wouldn’t, before selling any product Justine circulated a questionnaire with samples of her Spoon Biscookies.

Questions included:

What is your favourite spoon and why?

How much would you be prepared to pay – in a café, supermarket?

How do you find the appearance of the product – is it too big, too small just right?

How do find the texture of the product?

Contacts and clients are extremely important and Justine always listens to their feedback. Even though a lot of the ideas come from Justine, it’s also how ideas are progressed and developed that has contributed to the development of new products and the success of the Spoon Biscookie. Justine had a lot of requests for developing the chocolate spoon and more recently she has had a request for a healthy spoon, a savoury spoon, and a frozen delight.

When trialling a new product Justine puts in samples with all of the orders asking the clients to fill out a questionnaire. If they complete it and like the new product they receive five free spoons with their next order and this works very well.
