Our Orchard

The Pahoia Macadamias orchard is located between Katikati and Tauranga in a place called Pahoia. We have 160 macadamia nut trees spread over 0.75 hectares (1.85 acres). We have 3 types of macadamia nut trees, PA39, GT1 and Beaumont.

PA39 generally drop their nuts.They combine well with Beaumont as a pollinator.
They are very dense trees so may require pruning.
GT1 are good pollinators whether it is self or cross-pollination. They drop their nuts. The trees are less dense and can receive wind damage because of this.
Beaumont trees produce good quality nuts and grow best in warmer areas. They can be hard to pollinate. The nuts must be hand picked.
