Year 13 Materials Technology
This Technology unit focused on the development of a performance costume for a ballet dancer.
The student worked with the dancer as her client. She researched the technological practice undertaken by professional technologists to inform the practice used to develop a tutu that was 'fit for purpose'.
The evidence provided in the documentation demonstrates:
- synthesis and integration of knowledge and skills, ideas and methods into the student practice
- justification of the practice undertaken
- reflection on the information
- understandings and practices that affected the development of the technological outcome.
This student was awarded Technology Scholarship in 2008.
