Processing Technologies

A discipline that focuses on the skills and knowledge required for the formulation of processed products, and is particularly relevant to Food Technology, biotechnology, chemical technology and agricultural technologies. 

Processing Technologies is one of the six specialist knowledge and skills strands in Technology. The components of Processing Technologies are:

• Formulate a Processed Product
• Knowledge of Formulating a Processed Product 
• Knowledge of Product Preservation, Packaging and Storage
