Key stages

The practice used to develop a technological outcome can be broken down into a number of important steps which can occur sequentially or in parallel. . These key stages can be sequenced in a flow chart and may be reviewed and changed as the project proceeds.

Example: Dice – This Techlink Teaching Snapshot includes a resource that can be used to support planning for practice at Level 3 and above including the identification of key stages at Level 3. It can be readily adapted for use in many other teaching situations.
