Digital Technologies

One of the six specialist knowledge and skills strands in Technology.

The Digital Technologies strand focuses on understanding, developing and using digital software, hardware and electronic systems across a range of contexts including school, the home and wider community settings. Students develop and understandings and skills related to producing quality digital outcomes or environments

The components of Digital Technologies are:

  • Knowledge of Digital Information Management 
  • Apply Digital Information Management Tools to Create an Outcome 
  • Knowledge of Digital Media 
  • Create a Digital Media Outcome
  • Knowledge of Computer Science and Software Engineering 
  • Design a Software Program Structure  
  • Construct a Software Program 
  • Knowledge of Electronic Environments 
  • Develop an Electronic Environment
  • Assemble and Test Electronic and Embedded Systems
  • Knowledge of Digital Infrastructure 
  • Design a Digital Infrastructure System
