Social Networking and Web 2
Social networking is a comparatively new phenomenon that has exploded onto the scene, and into the psyches of many students, with little warning to the older generations. Parents and teachers alike need to be able to understand more of what it means in the lives of students; and what the benefits and potential threats are. To meet this need,we have created a webzine that explores students' social networking habits, and considers some of the social issues surrounding social networking.
Web 2 is a way to help people stay in touch. What this often means is that people are social networking. A social network is a social structure made up of individuals called nodes. These people are connected by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendships, dislikes, relationships and even beliefs.
