SCHOLARSHIP EXEMPLAR << What is this?
Lucilla Gray
Dress collection
Year 13 Materials Technology
In 2009, Lucilla Gray was awarded a New Zealand Scholarship in Technology for her work in designing and creating a range of 'High Fashion Clothing' for a photo shoot. In particular, an outfit was developed for a particular client. Her work in creating this range provided her with an opportunity to demonstrate how she could synthesise information from a range of sources when undertaking Technological Practice to meet a client's needs.
There is evidence of some aspects of elegance and originality in the Technological Practice undertaken by Lucilla and in the final Technological Outcome she produced. The report identifies that Lucilla has explained and justified the Technological Practice she undertook to meet the brief and specifications and meet the client needs. In the reflective report Lucilla has explained how the complexities of the situation were explored, and supported these explanations within her supporting portfolio portfolio.
Lucilla has critically reflected on information, demonstrating understandings and practices of others that have informed both her practice and the development of the final outcome. Her work was featured on a Techlink Student Showcase at: www.Techlink.org.nz/student-showcase/materials-soft/lucie-dress-collection.htm
