The programme and workshop ‘blurbs’
These were mailed and emailed out on Monday 16 September and within hours, 45 had signed up for workshops.
Note that some workshops have limited numbers, and that sessions scheduled to run twice will only run twice if there are sufficient numbers.
The workshop registration process also asks which subject association attendees belong to – this is because there are ‘subject association’ sessions on Monday and Wednesday and this information will assist in selecting rooms for these sessions.
Which subject is your specialist teaching area? – this has been asked for data-gathering purposes only.
NOTE: The Formway visit on Wednesday 9 October has been cancelled by Formway. If you had already chosen this session you will be allocated your second choice.
A huge thanks to TRCC and Laura Collins
Laura is the administrator and has spent houmers pulling the programme together. While this is part of her job, Connect: Putting the Pieces together is the biggest conference organised by TRCC – on Monday alone there are more than 25 presentations. The logistics of finalising the presenters, gathering the ‘blurbs’ and deciding the best room for the workshops was a BIG task. TRCC is based in Wellington and I am in the South Island so there was no way I could “pop in after school” to clarify matters – thank goodness for email and the telephone.
A big thank you also to IPENZ and TENZ for their promotion of the TESAC Conference on the Techlink website.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has assisted in making this conference happen. I look forward to meeting you in Wellington.
