HOD Day/TENZ Conference
On October 2 Techlink staff was involved in the Head of Department Day held in Auckland. A guided tour through the Techlink website was given by Communications Officer Nick Maitland to approximately 60 attendees.
The TENZ Conference was held on next three days. This conference provided a fantastic workshops, insightful speakers, and unique networking opportunities. More information is available in the October edition of TENZ publication, t-news.

Working with TeamUp
Techlink was extended an opportunity to assist in the creation of resources by the Ministry of Education TeamUp campaign.
TeamUp is currently revamping the information on their website. Techlink was asked to assist with the technology education section. The resources are aimed at helping parents and caregivers get involved in their kids learning.

Call for Showcases
Techlink wants to hear from technology teachers interested in supplying information for Student Showcases. Do you have an enthusiastic student who has completed an excellent project? Techlink would like to hear all about it.

Email Alert and t-news
An email alert promoting new resources on Techlink was sent out on October 31.
T-news was also published at the end of the month and featured the usual Techlink page.

Techlink Brochures
Over 14,000 copies of the Techlink brochure have been circulated to date. Over1,000 copies were distributed at the TENZ Conference. Copies will soon be available at an IPENZ Engineering display in Wellington Public Library.
