Technology Education Brochure
During September Techlink distributed over 11,000 copies of the Technology Education brochure to various audiences, including Technology Advisers, Futureintech Facilitators, and numerous schools through Techlink's online ordering system. It is planned to republish the brochure annually to include a fresh set of student projects, thus producing an attractive series.

Promotional Mail-outs
During September the 'Technology Education brochure' was sent in two different mail-outs.
The first was sent to representatives in senior management positions in the Association of Crown Research Institute (ACRI) organisations, including Agresearch, NIWA, and SCION – a total of 68 recipients.
The second mail-out was sent to 125 representatives involved in tertiary technology courses, including several at each university and at least one representative from each polytechnic.

Media Kit available online
A Media Kit PDF is now available on Techlink for teachers interesting in find out more about how to pitch a story to media. The availability of this resource will be promoted in the next t-news and email alert.

MP contact
During the month an opportunity was extended to IPENZ School's Team Director, Angela Christie to meet with Member of Parliament, Colin King, Associate Spokesman for Education (Trade Training). The meeting also included IPENZ CEO, Dr Andrew Cleland.
The meeting went very well and Mr King was enthusiastic towards that which was shown to him. He is going to visit Queen Margaret College's technology department early in Term 4 to see for himself how the modern classroom works.

t-news
Techlink promoted new resources in the September issue of e-newsletter, t-news.
In this issue of t-news a reminder prompt about the Information for Parents resources was included. This stimulated some activity and the PDF was downloaded almost 70 times.
It is worth remembering that this PDF is designed to form the basis for school promotional information and available at /info-for-parents/teched-info-for-parents.pdf.

Email alert
An email alert was sent to Techlink subscribers promoting the new resources to be recently published and as usual it had a positive effect on viewer numbers.

Technology Education article in e.nz magazine
Techlink writer, Alistair McKenzie wrote an article for the IPENZ magazine, e.nz. The article reflected positively on the advancements in Technology Education. This article is now available on Techlink's Article Archive.
Copies of this magazine are going to be available at the TENZ Conference during October.
