Techlink Media Kit for technology teachers
So you have a great student project and you think it would make an interesting story. Technology Education Leaflet Available
Techlink has produced a leaflet celebrating Technology education through examples of student excellence.
Titled 'Technology Education – Celebrating the work of New Zealand students', the leaflet illustrates innovative work produced in the technology classroom by showcasing nine outstanding student projects. This attractive concertina highlights the skills technology students' learn and apply to their class projects. It is perfect for presenting parents and students interested in learning more about technology education.

At a time of the year when students and parents are giving consideration to next years subject choices, it is worthwhile visiting Techlink's Information for Parents page.
This page contains comprehensive information about what technology is, how it is being taught, and the new and exciting opportunities it can bring. The information is also available in PDF form so that it may be downloaded and used as a basis for making your own technology handouts.

Second ITO Mail-out sent
For the second time, Techlink has sent information to the Industry Training Organisations (ITO) promoting technology education, including the new Technology education leaflet.
The ITOs are an interested stakeholder in technology and Techlink endevours to keep them informed. It is likely that the ITOs will enjoy reading the leaflet, as it celebrates enthusiastic students and their excellent projects.
Email to NZGTTA members
NZGTTA members received an email which, in part, expressed support for Techlink resources. The email particularly noted that Techlink's Technological Practice case studies and the Student Showcase.
Story in e.nz magazine
Keep an eye out for a Technology education article coming out in the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) magazine, e.nz written by Techlink writer Alistair McKenzie.
When published, a copy of this article will be added to Techlink's Article Archive.
